Extremely pleased with the internal doors that Geoff supplied and hung as well as making a bespoke door to create cupboard for the boiler. Geoff uses hand tools to keep dust to minimum and was always tidy and professional. Happy that he disposed of old doors & fittings for us. Geoff is friendly and informative from start to finish and we would highly recommend.

Asked Geoff for a refurbishment of our staircase- installed new Oak handrail and Base rail with new oak chamfered spindles. Also oak was clad around existing softwood newel posts. Geoff removed and replaced in oak the handrails, spindles, base rails, clad the posts and strings up the stairs and across the landing and did a really superb job. His skill is evident particularly in overcoming the issues in the original build and watching him handcutting the strings. He is a genuinely nice guy who takes his time to get things right and was happy to discuss options as he went through the work. The end result is excellent. I would strongly recommend Geoff based on the job he did for us. One thing – make sure you have a good supply of coffee avaiable!

Excellent craftsmanship. One door needed customising for under the stairs. Geoff demonstrated his skills from years as a cabinet maker in completing this task. Very pleased with the finished job on all the doors. House kept clean and tidy throughout. (Hand tools only used, rather than electric saws and planer, which reduced the dust produced.) Geoff himself is very polite and a pleasure to talk to. A good experience throughout. We would (and have) recommend Geoff for any carpentry work.

Geoff made and fitted bespoke bedroom fitted wardrobes for us during October 2023. This was the second time we have used Geoff, following his excellent work fitting a new oak balustrade/spindles. Geoff is a master of his craft. Polite, easy to work with, trustworthy and an all round lovely fella. The wardrobes were fitted to an excellent standard, exactly as we wanted them. He kept us informed throughout. As ever, all he needs is a few cups of tea as fuel. Excellent work, and thoroughly recommended. Five stars.

Geoff gave a 10/10 service from start to finish. One of our doors was for a bathroom cupboard, it was an odd size. Geoff made me a door himself to match all of the other doors to a very high standard. Geoff answered all of my queries very quickly and kept me posted step by step of what was going to happen each day during the replacement. Very good value for money. Can highly recommend Geoff.

Incredibly professional and very skilled. We made the mistake of using a cheap trades person who made a mess of our porch door and various other doors. Geoff came in and sorted everything without hesitation. Geoff sorted all the ordering and collection too for the fixes. The work is great and couldn’t recommend higher.

Geoff sourced and fitted six oak doors to all first floor rooms including all metal furniture. Supplied relevant finish to doors and advised on application. In our study he replaced five floor to ceiling doors in existing storage area, advising us on the possible solutions. He designed, made and fitted a bespoke bookcase to match the new storage doors and then created a matching work space. All the work was carried out to an exceptionally high standard – a real craftsman. He was a pleasure to have working in the house and was extremely conscientious in clearing up each day. Excellent!

From the moment we met Geoff he was personable and listened to what we needed. There were some issues with the doors that we wanted to order but, unlike other trades people that had quoted, Geoff found a way around all of these small issues and managed to source the materials and hinges that we really wanted. The quality of the workmanship is second to none. We’re really pleased with the work Geoff did for us and more importantly, he’s reliable, skilled and really trustworthy. Didn’t want to leave a negative review but can’t get the experience out of my head. Chose for the job as the overall ratings looked good, however after trying to discuss the possibility of changing one small part of the work quoted it resulted in a reluctance to take on the job and ultimately the cancellation of the work entirely (after citing that a change to the job wouldn’t be possible because the job wouldn’t be worth taking on) and the loss of 3 months waiting for the work to go ahead. Bit of a shame and quite surprising as if I behaved like that in my line of work I’d be out of a job.

The work that Geoff completed was exceptional and he was very thorough and he had attentional to detail. .He made two cupboards in our front room and four shelves to a very high standard . He made two bespoke wardrobes in our main bedroom which were not easy to make but he overcame any obstacles and they look absolutely brilliant ..In the other two bedrooms he replaced the two glass sliding doors and replaced them with normal doors and again overcame problems. .There was other work he did for us and he clearly takes pride in his work.I would highly recommend geoff

Geoff fitted spindles,a hand rail,newel post and cap and realigned a couple of steps at the bottom..& spindles,handrail and newel caps on the existing posts upstairs to match. Geoff also fitted 5 doors and took away the old ones.We are very happy with the workmanship and end result. Geoff listened to what we wanted and advised how we could achieve the end finish…when other carpenters we had to quote said it couldn’t be done or wouldn’t look right. Geoff was very accommodating and moved our agreed date by a few days (due to our unhelpful carpets fitters changing their day). Geoff had to fit door jams after our carpet had been laid which we were initially hesitant about, however we needn’t have worried. All the doors fit perfectly as do hinges, handles, locks and latches. We weren’t able to be at the house when Geoff was there, but we trust him and left a key. We have already recommended him to friends and family.

After having two alcoves that we wanted to make the most of we called Geoff to come and quote/measure up for us. Geoff was really helpful with advising us where to put the height of the cupboard in relation to existing plug sockets. The units were built off site by Geoff and then fitted, they fit beautifully, which is a miracle with our non-square walls. We trusted Geoff completely with this project and we are really happy with our new storage!

Geoff is really helpful. We had numerous carpenters out for advice on how to do some balustrading on our stairs which also has a half wall and Geoff was the only one that we were happy with. He listened to our ideas and talked us through how we could achieve them, not only do our stairs look amazing.. they are structurally strong too. He is friendly and kept in contact throughout via text and phone. We were so impressed with his work, we are having him back to fit some alcove units and shelves. Very happy with the service we recevied from GRW – Geoff is a master craftsman, he talked through our requirements and made some excellent suggestions on things that we’d never considered. He was punctual, polite and kept us informed at each stage of the work. Geoff had to delay the start of the work due to personal reasons but he kept us informed at all times. When the work commenced he liaised with us at every stage I.E. Regarding height of shelves, hanging rail etc. To ensure the wardrobe was built according to our requirements, which was much appreciated. Geoff was very professional at all times and we would class him as an ‘old school’ carpenter who takes a pride in his work. On time, well prepared, cleaned up after job, protected carpets and furniture. Very pleasant man, very efficient, quality workmanship. All carried out by hand.

Excellent! Geoff was friendly, helpful and very tidy. Took great care with the finish and putting the wrongs right. Went out of his way to do this work at short notice. Very happy, no valid reason to score less than 10. I received good advice and my expectations were managed well and . Attention to detail was very good, I am very happy with the outcome. No arriving late or leaving early, completed the job to the agreed time scales. Will be recommending to any of my colleagues or friends that needs carpentry or joinery.
